Running Short on Freezer Space? Here are 5 Tips to Maximise Space in Your Freezer and Get More Storage Space

𝟭) 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘁

To improve your freezer space, place your items in ziplock bags and freeze everything flat. This way, you can simply stack them on top of each other.

𝟮) 𝗗𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘅𝗲𝘀

Boxes are bulky, let’s face it. If you shake a packaging box and you hear lots of rattling going on inside, this should tell you that there is plenty empty space inside. Remove the items, and store them in freezer or ziplock bags.

𝟯) 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀

In most cases, if you’ve had something in your freezer for six months and haven’t eaten it yet, you should toss it out. You’re probably not going to eat it. And to begin with, and it’s not going to be the freshest anymore, either.

𝟰) 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀

We tend to forget what’s in our freezers when we hide things away for a really long time, so do yourself a favour and do a clean-out regularly. Rotate items as you go so that older meals and foods are moved to the front and newer ones are stacked in the back. Grab older items first so you don’t have to worry about foods going bad.

𝟱) 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗘𝗙’𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲
