Steamed Dumplings


  • 1 package dumpling wrappers
  • 1 cup finely chopped chicken or pork
  • 1 cup finely chopped vegetables (such as cabbage, carrots, and mushrooms)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Dipping sauce of your choice (e.g., soy sauce, chili oil, vinegar)


  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped chicken or pork, vegetables, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold and pleat the edges to seal the dumplings.
  4. Arrange the dumplings on a steam tray lined with parchment paper or cabbage leaves, making sure they are not touching each other.
  5. Select Pure Steam Function in the EF Combi Steam Oven. Place the steam tray into the oven.
  6. Steam the dumplings for 10-12 minutes, or until the filling is cooked through and the wrappers are translucent.
  7. Carefully remove the steam tray from the oven let the dumplings cool for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the dumplings with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy this classic dish!
